I hope everyone had a wonderful and restful holiday! For me, I’ve been hard at work getting ready for the sitewide sale on TPT for Cyber Monday (and Tuesday)! For those of you who are unfamiliar with the sales, about 4 times a year, TPT offers an extra incentive for the sellers to put their stores on sale. So, for Monday and Tuesday (November 30 and December 1, 2015), everything in my store will be 28% off–that’s 20% off and then another 10% off that total for using the promo code (SMILE)…which adds up to 28% off. Just don’t forget that promo code.
I’m not a big Black Friday shopper, but Cyber Monday, when I can shop from my laptop (and now even my phone with the TpT app) makes me sooo happy! So I thought I would join up with Speech Room News’ great linky for What’s In Your Cart? This is a great opportunity to find some new sellers, including lots of special education and SLPs.
First, let me show you what is in my store that might interest you. I know that most of us have our hands full during the holidays just trying to get everything done. And it’s also sometimes a difficult time to keep our kiddos’ minds on their work. So, let’s add a little holiday spirit to it with some low to no prep activities to spice up direct instruction. I just finished my Christmas version of Receptive Vocabulary-Feature, Function, Class activities and posted it–and it’s on sale. These are great for using when you are working with more than one student in direct instruction to augment the vocabulary work you are doing. There are dauber activities and color by feature, function and class activities for all different levels. There are also two sets of sorting activities (with and without a model) that you can laminate for longer use (and require a bit of cutting) as well as a file folder for What Goes Together. And there’s Santas and Christmas cookies and Christmas trees galore. I really love the Christmas Cookie sort! When I get a book made from it, I’ll be sure to share. You can check out these activities in my store here.
Also, if you haven’t seen them, I’m super psyched about my adapted books for the winter holidays. They cover Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa as well as common traditions, including a book with verbs about traditions the three holidays have in common. The books use common and seasonal vocabulary with pictures and words so they can be adapted to lots of different learners. Check them out in my store here.
So, what’s in my cart for this amazing sale…I have a few things I want to buy. For those of you who have been around here for a while, you know I’m a dedicated clip art fanatic. Luckily it’s digital, because I think I might have a hoarding problem with it. And I just discovered Kate Hadfield Designs. Her drawings are beautiful and they work great in black and white for the print and go activities!
I am gearing up for winter and spring interactive books and vocabulary activities, not to mention the generalization activities I have on my list. So don’t be surprised to see some of her great resources in my upcoming products!
Then there are two products that I thought I should highlight because they would so definitely be in my cart if I had a classroom because they are exactly what I would need.
The first is Autism Adventures Interactive Bulletin Board Sets! Awesome!!!
And finally, I have mentioned them before but if you have the same difficulties planning art activities that I do, you should check out Gabrielle Dixon from Teaching Special Thinkers Easy Art Packs! Definitely worth it to have the planning for those activities out of the way.
So those are just some of the things I will be looking at for the sale….what’s in your cart? Check out Speech Room News’ link up to get even more ideas of what the amazing sellers at TPT have to help you out.
And don’t forget to get credits for leaving feedback on the things you have bought!! And DON’T FORGET THE PROMO CODE SMILE!
Until next time,
