Currently and a Freebie!

Sharing is caring!

Yes, I realize it’s a bit past the beginning of October, but it was a busy week!  I felt the need for a little lighter post so I thought I would link up with Farley for the monthly Currently.  Click here to see what other bloggers are up to.  Stay tuned, there is a treat at the end!  ðŸ™‚

Listening

I’m listening to (and watching) How to Get Away With Murder.  I’m hooked on it and couldn’t watch it during the week because my TV in my hotel apparently had a cable / satellite company that is in dispute with ABC so there was no ABC for me.  The downside is I was pretty brain dead by the end of the day when consulting and need some TV to distract me.  The upside is that I have all the ABC shows to watch now that I’m home.

Loving

They are predicting that today may be the last day this year with temperatures in the 90s!  I live in South Florida and fall doesn’t amount to much.  However, it does mean that the weather gets a little cooler and drier, which makes GREAT bike riding weather!  Which is what I hope to do tomorrow–that humidity predicted tomorrow is low for us, believe it or not!

Thinking

I’m having that post-consultation tired in which I reflect about how much I realize I love my jobs.  First, I have multiple types of jobs (professor, consultant, author / creator) which means I never get bored.  Second, I love how all my jobs overlap.  I get ideas and get to be in the classroom working with children and teachers as a consultant.  That feeds my ideas for products and writing. Lots of my products come from needs of the students and teachers I work with.  And I get to make sure I’m up on all the professional happenings in order to teach my students.  And I get to schedule my own time for the most part, which I love.

Wanting

OOh, see that?  I miss that.  As I said earlier, we don’t get a lot of “fall” where I live.  I am excited because I get to go to Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway, which is where I took that picture in a couple weeks.  I can’t wait.  I love the cooler temperatures and the changing leaves.  I also love spending time with my sister while we do it!  Can’t wait!!

Needing

I came back from my last consulting trip with a list of social stories I need to create, which means they will most likely make their way to my store.  So get ready for social stories on why blowing snot is not a good idea, among other topics, soon.

Treat

To celebrate Halloween and fall, even for those of you who aren’t able to celebrate Halloween at school, I’ve created some sorting activities for sorting unhealthy food (candy for Halloween) from health food choices.  These will be part of a new set of food groups and healthy eating activities I’m creating, so this is just a taste.  Hop over to my TPT store to download them for FREE!

Until next time,
